What Are The Rules Of Chess?

Just as with other games, chess has its own set of rules too. So, here are the basic chess rules that you should know.

Who Goes First

You do know that there are two colors of pieces, which are white and black. As a rule, white always goes first. So, if ever you’ll be using the white pieces, then you would be the one to make the first move. If your concern is whether how you would know if who’s going to be black or white, don’t fret. Basically what you’ll have to do is get one white pawn and get one black pawn. While holding one in each hand, bring your hands at your back and keep on interchanging their positions from one hand to another. Then, close your fists and let your opponent choose a hand. The piece in the hand he chooses would be his color. It could also be the case that it is your opponent who would do the mix and you would do the pick. Either way, remember that white always goes first.
