The very first ballet performance was done well over 500 years ago. During those times, men took the lead roles while women weren’t given much challenging choreography as they were perceived to be weak. Some ballet movements were even based on historical happenings and stories from the bible.
One of the most graceful and most difficult dances that you could ever perform is ballet. This is because the dance itself requires not only physical strength but also skills and years of practice and discipline. Because the dance is hard to master, ballerinas are trained very early to develop the physique and discipline needed for the dance.
Ballet is an art because each person is trained to move their body in unnatural ways in order to tell a story. It takes a lot of practice to become one of the best in the industry doing all the spins and leaps that not everyone can do.
Sewing ballet shoes can be quite tedious, but if you are a dedicated person for the love of ballet and all things that come with it, why not? For one thing, you may find that the shoes you sew may be even better than the commercially available ones. But then, it’s still your call whether you are up for the challenge of creating ballet shoes. It is just one of those additional things you can think of while perfecting your ballet moves.
